The Canadian Wildlife Federation invites students (ages 19 and under) to enter their annual "Get to Know" Contest where you are encouraged to get outside and create original works of art, writing, photography, videography and music inspired by nature. This year’s theme is “Get to Know Your Wild Neighbours”. The goal is to be as creative as possible - so have fun and let the natural world inspire you!

The National Gallery of Canada has launched the second edition of "So You Want To Be an Artist?" Contest. It is nation-wide contest for young Canadian artists between the ages of 16 and 19.

The goal is to engage with youth from every region of the country, to get you to create art about an issue of importance to you, and to share your creativity.

Contest Deadline: March 18, 2012

All accepted entries will be showcased online between March 26 and April 30 where the public can vote for their favourite artworks by using the Facebook “Like” button. The 12 works with the most votes will be displayed at the National Gallery of Canada for a month where they will be judged by a jury of experts. The top three artists whose entries are selected will receive outstanding prizes, and the grand prize winner will enjoy a behind-the-scenes visit with NCG experts.

Contest The Environmental Artworks Foundation of Alberta invites you to illustrate, through the creation of a poster or a digital picture, the theme of: "My Favorite Outdoor Place"

Entries will be accepted in the following categories:
Grade 4-6 students are encouraged to submit an 11" x 17" poster. Hand drawn only, no computer imaging.
Grades 7-9 and 10-12 are encouraged to submit in the following two categories: Photo (min. 1 MB ) and Original Art (minimum of 11" x 17" to maximum of 24" x 36")
